Hyundai Genesis: Steering wheel / Repair procedures

Disconnect the battery negative cable from the battery and then wait for at least 30 seconds. |
2. |
Turn the steering wheel so that the front wheels are placed in the straight ahead position. |
3. |
Remove the airbag module.
(Refer to Restraint - "Driver Airbag (DAB) Module and Clock Spring") |
4. |
Disconnect the connector & lock bolt (A) and then remove the steering wheel by using special service tool (09561-11001).
Tighten the lock bolt appropriately and install the SST (09561-1101) in order to separate the steering wheel easily. |
Do not use a hammer to remove the steering wheel, it may damage the steering column.

Install in the reverse order of removal.
When installing, do not reuse the steering lock bolt. |

Remove the screw and separate the lower cover. |
2. |
Disconnect the steering wheel remote switch connector (A). |
3. |
Remove the remote control switch (A) & (B). |
4. |
Install in the reverse order of removal. |
