Hyundai Genesis: Trunk Lid / Trunk Lid Trim Repair procedures

Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries. |

When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components. |
• |
Take care not to scratch the body surface. |

1. |
Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the trunk lid latch cover (A). |
2. |
Using a screwdriver, remove the trunk lid switch (A), and disconnect the connector. |
3. |
Remove the trunk lid weatherstrip. |
4. |
Disengage the luggage side trim. |
5. |
After removing the pin-type retainers, remove the trunk lid side cover (B) by separating the hook (A) from the trunk lid trim. |
6. |
After loosening the mounting screws, remove the trunk lid inside handle (A). |
7. |
After loosening the mounting screw and clips, remove the trunk lid trim (A). |
8. |
Install in the reverse order of removal.

Make sure the trunk lid opens or closes properly. |
• |
Replace any damaged clips. |
