Hyundai Genesis: Rear Suspension System / Rear Upper Arm Repair procedures

Loosen the wheel nuts slightly. Raise the vehicle, and make sure it is securely supported. |
2. |
Remove the front wheel and tire (A) from the rear hub.
Tightening torque:
88.3 ~ 107.9 N.m (9.0 ~ 11.0 kgf.m, 65.1 ~ 79.6 lb-ft)

Be careful not to damage the hub bolts when removing the rear wheel and tire. |

Support the lower portion of the rear axle with a jack securely. |
4. |
Loosen the mounting bolts and then remove the rear upper arm front (B) & rear upper arm rear (A).
Tightening torque:
A : 88.3~107.9 N.m (9~11 kgf.m, 65.1~79.6 lb-ft)
B : 117.7~137.3N.m (12~14kgf.m, 86.8~1.0.3 lb-ft)

Remove the rear upper arm front, and then the rear upper arm rear. |

Loosen the flange bolt & nuts and then rear upper rear arm (A).
Tightening torque :
117.7 ~ 137.3 N.m (12.0 ~ 14.0 kgf.m, 86.8 ~ 101.3 lb-ft)

Loosen the flange bolt & nuts (A) and then rear upper front arm.
Tightening torque :
117.7 ~ 137.3 N.m (12.0 ~ 14.0 kgf.m, 86.8 ~ 101.3 lb-ft)

Installation in the reverse order of removal. |

Check the alignment.

Check the bushing for wear and deterioration. |

Check the ball joint for rotating torque. |
