Hyundai Genesis: Front Seat / Front Seat Back Cover Repair procedures

Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries. |

• |
When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components. |
• |
When removing the interior trim pieces, use a plastic panel removal tool not to damage the surface. |
• |
Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels. |

1. |
Remove the front seat assembly.
(Refer to Front Seat - "Front Seat Assembly") |

Remove the front seat rear shield outer cover.
(Refer to Front Seat - "Front Seat Shield Outer Cover") |
3. |
Remove the front seat headrest (A) by pulling it upward. 
|
4. |
Remove the front seat lower protector (A). 
|
5. |
Remove the front seat back board (A).
• |
Grasp the both lower sides of back board with hands and then remove it in the direction of the arrow. |
• |
Be careful not to damage the fixing clips. |
|

Remove the front seat air ventilation seat back duct (A). 
|
7. |
Remove the protector (A) from the front seat back frame. 
|
8. |
Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the front seat headrest guides (A) by pulling them upwards.

Twist the headrest guide to pull it out.

• |
Be careful not to damage the steel clip (B). 
|
|
|
9. |
Remove the front seat back cover (A) from the front seat back frame. 
|
10. |
After removing the velcro tape (A) and hog-ring clips (B) on the front of seat back and remove the front seat back cover (C).
• |
Make sure that the sponge insert wire is not dislocated. |
|

11. |
Install in the reverse order of removal.
• |
Make sure that the connectors are connected completely |
• |
Replace any damaged clips. |
• |
To prevent wrinkles, make sure that the cover (B) is stretched evenly before connecting the hog-ring clips (A). |
• |
Replace the hog-ring clips with new ones using special tool (C) (09880-4F000). |
