Hyundai Genesis: Crash Pad / Crash pad side garnish assembly Repair procedures

Be careful not to scratch or dent the crash pad garnish and
door trim upper garnish because these parts are made of weak material
(real wood). |
• |
Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries. |

• |
When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components. |
• |
When removing the interior trim pieces, use a plastic panel removal tool not to damage the surface. |
• |
Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels. |

Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the crash pad side cover [RH] (A). 
|
2. |
After loosening the mounting screw, remove the crash pad side garnish assembly [RH] (A). 
|
3. |
Disconnect the emergency light switch connector (A). 
|
4. |
Install in the reverse order of removal.

Make sure the connector is connected properly. |
• |
Replace any damage clips. |

Disconnect the battery negative cable, and wait for at least three minutes before beginning work.

Remove the front passenger seat assembly.

3.
Disconnect the OCS ECU connector.
4.
Remove the OCS ECU.
