Hyundai Genesis: Floor Console / Console Armrest Repair procedures

Replacement
   
Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.
   
When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
When removing the interior trim pieces, use a plastic panel removal tool not to damage the surface.
Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
1.
Remove the gear knob and boots (A) by pulling them vertically.
   
Take care to remove the shift lever knob because unlike some models, turning it for removal damages the shift lever knob.
   
After inserting the shift lever knob into the gear shift lever stick, give it a push with a rubber hammer (pressure: 55±10kgf).
Keep pushing it until the installation line on the stick becomes invisible.

Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the front console upper complete (A).

3.
Disconnect the connectors (A).

4.
Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the console side cover (A).

5.
Remove the console armrest tray (A).

6.
Remove the console armrest service cover (A).

7.
Loosen the mounting bolts, remove the console armrest (A).

8.
Disconnect the connectors (A).
9.
Remove the front console armrest (B).

10.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
   
Make sure the connector is connected properly.
Replace any damage clips.
