Hyundai Genesis: Engine Control System / Barometric Pressure Sensor (BPS) Repair procedures

Inspection

1.	Connect the GDS on the Data Link Connector (DLC).

2.	Measure the output voltage of the BPS at idle and with the ignition ON. Specification: Refer to "Specification"

Removal

1.	Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) cable.

2.	Disconnect the barometric pressure sensor connector (A).

3.	Remove the installation bolt (B), and then remove the sensor from the air cleaner assembly.

Installation

• Install the component with the specified torques. • Note that internal damage may occur if the component drops. If the component drops, inspect it before installation.

• Insert the sensor in the installation hole and be careful not to damage during installation.

1.	To install, reverse the removal procedure. Barometric pressure sensor installation bolt: 3.9 ~ 5.9 N.m (0.4 ~ 0.6 kgf.m, 2.9 ~ 4.3 lb-ft)
